Half Moon Bay is cold!

Half Moon Bay was fabulous! It was much colder than I remember... super windy! Just take a look at this tent!!

But I was able to finish my "Half Moon Bay Quilt" right before we left, so we brought it to the beach and then used it to keep warm around the campfire. Here are some photos from the beach. Chris very nicely obliged with my strange requests....

Now this quilt was designed by Monica of Happy Zombie, and is published in the current Quilts N More. Super fun to make, except that I kept messing up! I guess that's what happens when you work on something too long... lets just say that Monica's directions are great, and if you follow them you'll have no problems at all! There are some more shots of the quilt on my flickr site.
Pockets of Half Moon Bay Quilt
I added these to the quilt. They are the pockets from Denyse Schmidt's Day at the Beach Quilt. Great for the beach. We put sand in the pockets so the quilt wouldn't fly away... it worked really well! Well except for when Chris was doing his Karate Kid pose...

The beach is always a nice setting to show off a new quilt! It's interesting how much color makes a difference because I wasn't crazy about the quilt in the magazine, but it's more appealing with your color choices. Beautiful.

The quilt looks wonderful and I'm glad you got to do a test run for it at the beach. I love all the colors in your quilt and how they go together...I think that's the one thing that really keeps me from quilting. I can't seem to put colors and fabrics together. It always looks "off."

OH LYNN! Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL! I'm so tickled you made the quilt and to also see what the quilt looks like in other fabrics (and I SO LOVE your fab picks). And to see it in action is frosting on the cake.

You made my day. No... my week. NO... MY YEAR!

PS... your 2nd comment has been liberated - Just like Paris. :o)

PS2... Half Moon Bay is one of my favorite places, especially 'round pumpkin time!
