D-10 Battlefield

D-10 Battlefield
I was so afraid of doing this block. I mean there are 42 pieces in this one block! However, I guess my technique has improved, because this block really wasn't so bad. I used freezer paper to paper piece this block. The fabric is Citrine from the Net of Jewels line by Joelle Hoverson. I really like the fabric, and am planning on ordering the fat quarter set for another quilt. They are described as "iridescent solid" fabrics, but really, they are just fun to work with.

When I worked on this block, "Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar was stuck in my head. Strangely, I am watching "Hana Yori Dango" right now, which is the original and Japanese version of Meteor Garden, and really for them, love is so difficult. I am SO nervous for them and have been staying up late every night just to get one more episode in before I sleep. I guess that's what you get when you watch a Japanese soap opera though, huh?

Your blocks do look like they're getting more and more awesome looking. :) How many more do you have left to go? You've done so many!
