Preparing for the cold!

Can I leave now?
Hmm.. so I guess there's something about going on vacation that makes you not want to do anything anymore... I really haven't done much since I've come back from Hawaii. I haven't even blogged about it! But tomorrow I'm leaving for Vietnam and Cambodia, so it will be awhile before I blog again.
le woof.
I wanted to make sure that I blogged about these finished objects (i know!). Living in California, I have to prepare for the cold. You know, rain and stuff like that.
Preparing for the cold knitting
The first thing is the Luxe Neck Warmer from Knit Two Together. I used Misti Alpaca Chunky. It was fun and fast to knit, but honestly I don't know if I'm going to use it much. Second we have the Koolhaas hat. This one I knit most of while I was in Hawaii. Not too bad once you get the hang of it. Lots of mistakes once the decreases started (the plane landed and I forgot where I was), but you can't tell. VERY cute, and I probably will get a lot of use out of it. Love the yarn, Malabrigo worsted in Frank Ochre. Lastly, a project that I started in Dec. 2006: KNUCKS. Even better, finished knucks! These are made with Rowan felted tweed. Lost one glove sometime in 2007, and it resurfaced early 2008, and they are finally done. HURRAY!
What is on my head?
Lucy seems to think that last paragraph was too long. Maybe next time I'll blog before those finished projects stack up...

ps. Lucy does not usually walk around with her frisbee on her head. Someone decided it would be funny, and well, she's a good dog. :p

Seriously love that. I think I have a copy of that IK somewhere. With the move and unpacking I have NO idea where any of my craft stuff is right now. A shame too b/c I've really been itching to knit. I have tons of felted tweed left over from an unfinished sweater. I should get cracking on some knucks...I know I'll need those here really soon.
