A-5 Cathie's Campfire

A-5 Cathie's Campfire
This block was nice and easy. I used fabric I got from Back Porch Fabrics on the shop hop last year. Paper pieced using freezer paper. Points aren't perfect, but good enough for me. I think it's more obvious because there is so much contrast between the two fabrics.

I played piano, and a little guitar in college, but I never studied another string instrument. I almost wish I had, especially after watching Nodame Cantabile (a Japanese drama about an orchestra). On our trip to Maui, we stopped by the Costco and bought a ukulele. I think it's time to start learning how to play!

Nice block and I love the guitar-print fabric.

I'm re-learning to play my flute. It's been many a year since high school that I've ignored playing music. Now I'm having a great time with it. In fact, I go to my first rehearsal tonight with a flute ensemble here in Tucson. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.

Again, I have to tell you how much I'm loving seeing all these blocks. (By the way, I had to really look to see where your points didn't line up. You're not even going to see that when the whole thing is put together. NO ONE will see it at first glance.)

I've been so inspired by you, that I went to the website. It's only a matter of time before I wind up ordering this pattern...
