I use fleece for the back side, and quilt blocks for the front. Since fleese is wider (I think 60"?)it makes a nice size quillow. And, it's SO soft!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126670698392340263.post-49438409954418390142007-11-06T03:11:00.000-08:002007-11-06T03:11:00.000-08:00I made quillows many years ago. 27 of them for Chr...I made quillows many years ago. 27 of them for Christmas to be exact! LOL I worked for a curtain factory and was given tons of fabric. soooooooo.........I made quillows. I made a quilt type pattern with a solid back but made the pillow exactly 1/3 of the width. so if you want to make larger, your pillow would be larger. 20inch pillow makes a 60 x 80 quilt top. see? not so hard.
have fun!
Dawn in MASSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126670698392340263.post-69434708589054154282007-10-23T07:23:00.000-07:002007-10-23T07:23:00.000-07:00that must be soooo comfy - what a great winter pro...that must be soooo comfy - what a great winter project!letitiahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07412401268046382544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126670698392340263.post-65033936189544042032007-10-14T02:32:00.000-07:002007-10-14T02:32:00.000-07:00I've "tagged" you on my blog!I've "tagged" you on my blog!Junie Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08561131734782279400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126670698392340263.post-26257398804469765032007-10-12T13:20:00.000-07:002007-10-12T13:20:00.000-07:00Hi Lynn--You won the drawing on my blog. I would think if you made a bigger pocket, then wider and longer would work too... like you said... just seam together more fabric.Natalie, the Chickenbloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07424213130274740719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126670698392340263.post-24103129158460077272007-10-06T07:30:00.000-07:002007-10-06T07:30:00.000-07:00I have been wanting to make a quillow, too. For future quillows I will definitely seam together a couple pieces of fabric before I make the quilt portion.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15628443856304986228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126670698392340263.post-17284237094939639592007-10-05T08:18:00.000-07:002007-10-05T08:18:00.000-07:00I don't have a solution as I've not made a quillow...I don't have a solution as I've not made a quillow before but I do have a tiny idea to consider that I used in making my Halloween purse. You said the quillow is made from one piece of fabric. Why not seam two pieces of fabric together to make it wider/longer or whatever you need and then adjusting the pattern to accommodate that change? Then you could make your quillow whatever size you want. Just a thought.

Anyway, it looks great and I'm sure will be enjoyed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
