YAY! I finished something!! This is one of those projects that I had finished up to the very last step, and then gave up. I started (and almost finished) this sucker back in July, but I couldn't get the rivets set. Well I bought a set of rivet setters (I am so bad at that sort of thing, rivets, snaps, you name it) and finished it up today. Even with the tools I almost screwed it up.
This backpack was made from some home dec. weight fabric from Joann's, using Liesl's fabulous A Day in the Park Backpack Tote pattern. Looks like it will be available again soon too!
And just because she's cute...

The bag looks great. I have admired the one in the Purl Patchwork store before.
I wish I could give Lucy a kiss.
Great looking bag! Rivets and stuff can get really tricky so good work on getting those in.
I wanted to buy this pattern the first time you posted about the bag, but I didn't get around to it!
OMG, she is so darn cute!
I love the backpack and will have to take a look at the pattern you used. It's good to conquer a challenge (the rivets) but your end product is ever so lovely. And Miss Lucy is looking ever so adorable!
Your bag turned out so nice - I think that's a great pattern.
I want to give the puppy a smooch!
this turned out great! I love the fabric and straps that you used. Cute puppy, as always : )
This has been on my to-make list forever but I'm scared of the rivets, etc. Good fabric choice on your part.
The bag is fabulous, Lynn. I love your fabric choice, and you executed the pattern flawlessly. Beautiful work!
Great tote! Olve the fabric you chose. Do you know about the Flickr group for those of us who made Backpack totes from Liesl's patter? You can add yours. I love mine. All of them!
