For my background fabric for my baby jane, I decided to use an off-white kona cotton. Kona cotton in snow. It's fabulous. I bought 20 yards, and it came in one bolt of 16 yards and a folded bit of 4 yards.
The problem with buying 20 yards of fabric is that you have to wash it and then iron it all! It took awhile to iron it, and Lucy obviously lost patience with me and decided to take a nap!

Awww, so cute! That's how Theo looks when he gets into a pile of our laundry!
Lucy is so cute curled up in your fabric...20 yards is A LOT of fabric to iron! Good Luck!
Lucy's tushy is so cute.
Oh what a cutie pie. Truth be told, I'm almost always too lazy (and too poor) to wash all my fabrics and press them before using them. (GASP!) At least until I moved home, I couldn't justify the cost of washing fabrics in the basement coin washers. Now that I do have ready access to washer I'm just too lazy. :P
Oh! I love dogs that help quilt.
