I got my doll quilt from the doll quilt swap today! Thank you so much Beth! I love it! I love the wonkiness that has been showing up in lots of quilts lately, but I haven't had the courage to stray from straight lines. This is Beth's first quilt, and she did such a great job. She was even nice enough to include a hanging sleeve if I wanted to attach one (now why didn't I think of that?).
If you haven't already, you should check out the rest of the doll quilts here, they're all turning out super cute!

What a lovely quilt! I keep trying to get up the courage to quilt but I haven't made it yet. Maybe a doll quilt will be a good practice run.
It's very Gee's Bend, isn't it?
Her first quilt. I love it.
Awesome!
Thanks for putting up the photo! Gee's Bend?? I really learned a lot doing this. Thanks for being the guinea pig for my efforts.
Cool quilt! Graphic, bold, simple...sometimes less is more. Think maybe my doll quilt got a bit too wild thing on me. Anyhow, very cute, I'm sure you'll give it a great home.
I have a post on my blog from when I visited the Gee's Bend quilt exhibit in San Francisco. It was very cool. http://quiltotaku.blogspot.com/2007/03/gee.html
Wow, you'd never know that was a first quilt. Sounds like a great swap.
I love the colours in that quilt. Beautiful work.
that is a great doll quilt.
I would recommend straying from the straight lines of quilting...it is so much fun! And addicting. ;)
